Daily Duties at Glenview School District 34:
1997-2000 District Science Facilitator Created and revised science curriculum for k-6 science teachers. Equip teachers fully with knowledge, skills, and strategies necessary for successful science instruction through collaboration and education, including preparing and leading multi-media, District-wide in-service training. Train teachers in the use of multimedia instructional equipment. Motivate teachers to provide quality science instruction. Create systems to enable smooth flow of science resources, materials, and information. Lead District team of Science Facilitators in mentoring their staff of teachers. Collaborate with District Principals and Superintendent to ensure quality, accurate, science instruction.Fourth, Fifth, and Sixth Grade Teacher 1988-1997 Designed and implemented cross curricular projects using science as a springboard for further exploration. Create tiered lessons in all areas of studies to provide materials to students at all readiness levels. Provide inclusion for ELL students using multiple strategies to ensure full inclusion in classes. Mentor colleagues in the use of Everyday Mathematics. Extensive experience with team-taught, special education inclusion classes. Science Specialist contributing at a District and Building level to provide curriculum enhancement and teacher support.
