Daily Duties at Covidien:

Attains all assigned sales quotas. Maintains and increases sales volume of assigned accounts. Solicits orders effectively from present and past customers. Provides useful and practical . Knowledge of the Ligasure, Ultrsonic and electrosurgery, minimally invasive surgery markets and competing products. Ability to solicit orders from present and prospective customers. Ability to prepare sales audits and analysis of present and prospective customers. Ability to assist in the developing of sales forecasts, territory potentials, workload analyses, call programs. Effective oral and written communications skills to meet sales objectives. Effective organizational and motivational skills necessary to perform related duties. Prepares and submits expense reports, sales, marketing and consignment reports, and territory business plan. Works with Regional Manager, other sales representatives, sales management, marketing. Works with Customer service and credit/contracts as necessary. I called on surgeons and developed strong relationships quickly. The territory was in horrible shape so I needed to quickly make an improvement with Ligasure sales. The territory also only had one Force Triad generator which is the capital piece of equipment that needs to be purchased in order to operate the disposable (Ligasure). So not only did I have to get the doctors buy in to trial my products I also needed to have an excellent understanding of the capital process and budgets in each hospital or surgery center.
