Daily Duties at Cigna:
Provided health coaching to members through telephonic assessment, education, support, and referrals to various health and wellness programs, utilizing techniques such as motivational interviewing, and behavior change to help people to achieve optimal health and well-being. • Performed research on relevant topics on health promotion and disease prevention to empower members to make changes on health topics that need to be modified to achieve their health goals Provided expertise in establishing relationships and practicing core coaching skills that assisted the individual in identifying values and desires, transforming them into action, and maintaining lasting change over time. Collaborated with individuals, respecting the client as the expert in his/her own life, using a strength-based focus and strong grounding in best practice Actively managed a caseload of 250-300 clients at any given time and had set, 30-min appointments on a bi-weekly basis Achieved performance goals by engaging the customer in sessions and goal setting 3+ times Provided evidence-based methods to assist the customer and the client in reducing health risks and help control health care costs Actively participated in bi-monthly team meetings and collaborated with other healthcare professionals such as, nurses, behavior specialists, registered dieticians and the assigned medical director in order to provide the best education and coaching to our customers
