Daily Duties at Ppg Industries:
Oversaw product packaging and equipment maintenance; ensured optimal productivity and package quality. Accountable for administration of $1.5M operating and capital budget. Formulated strategies to reduce equipment downtime and operator batch / label change-out times. Partnered with Operations Planning, Quality Assurance, Mixing, and Distribution departments to facilitate on-time delivery of products to customers; troubleshot and resolved scheduling and quality issues. Analyzed financial and productivity reports to determine monthly variances and sources of downtime / excessive change-out times. Collaborated with contractors to install new equipment. Supervised 6 mechanics and 26 operators.
