Daily Duties at Ppg Industries:
Managed all aspects of maintenance department; maintained equipment, supervised construction / installation of plant equipment, and drove continuous improvements related to production processes. Accountable for $2.2M operation / capital budget. Completed projects totaling $6M. Developed monthly preventative maintenance plans and implemented predictive maintenance practices. Produced maintenance efficiency reports; analyzed operational metrics to determine sources of variances. Served as liaison between production, maintenance, quality assurance, and operations; facilitated attainment of aggressive production schedules. Performed plant control system audits to identify and resolve vulnerabilities. Coordinated activities of operations / maintenance personnel and contractors to maintain safe operation of equipment and minimize downtime. Supervised 7 maintenance personnel and 1 MRO purchasing agent; provided feedback regarding individual performance, safety training, TPM project status, and areas for improvement.
