Daily Duties at W. P. Carey Inc. :

As an Investor Relations Associate, I was responsible for fielding 50-100 (depending on call volume) calls per day regarding W. P. Carey's series of non-traded REITs and W. P. Carey & Co. LLC, the parent-public company. Inquiries ranged from general account management, product details and procedures and compliance questions. I was one of two Investor Relations Associates that reported to our Investor Relations Manager. In our role as associates we also proactively reached out to our investor base of roughly 125,000 investors with any account or company changes. In addition to fielding calls from Investors, we also worked hand in hand with the Sales Team at Carey Financial to help their financial advisors with specific account or product issues. Inquiries were handled via telephone and email correspondence. On an annual basis, the Investor Relations Team was asked to help the company receive quorum for the Annual Meeting of Stockholders by reaching out to investors and financial advisors to encourage them to vote their shares.
