Daily Duties at Higher Education Commission:
Successful completion of a turn-key project to deploy long haul optical network for Pakistan Education & Research Network (PERN2) in collaboration with project directors, network team, service provider, vendor and universities’ IT managers, resulting in reduction of Intranet and Internet service charges by about 50% for the universities. Supervision of NOC support to universities through trouble ticket mechanism via email or direct call with close to 99% efficiency. Research and implementation of topology, NMS server setup and troubleshooting plan to overcome link failure, node failure and service degradation ensuring approximately 99% network reliability. Liaising with all technical and administrative staff of all parties involved to quickly resolve any issue ensuring optimal resource utilization. Drafting of numerous technical documents for the project and the IT division including RFPs, agreements, SLAs, SOPs, annual reports, annual plans, feasibility study, etc.
