Daily Duties at National Guard Bureau, Counterdrug Division:

Serve as the primary strategic planner for the National Guard Counterdrug program and coordinate with the Department of Defense Counternarcotics office, Joint Staff Pentagon, Congressional Staff as well as National Guard leadership at the national at state levels. Formulate strategies, policies, strategic interagency partnerships and identify their implications to the National Guard Counterdrug Program. Formulate and staff agency responses to Congressional and senior leadership inquiries. Coordinate with program managers to provide program talking points to program and senior leadership. Provide input and subject matter expertise to formulation of interagency strategies which include the National Drug Control Strategy and the National Guard Support to Civil Authorities Strategy among others. Draft white papers, information papers and executive summaries on high priority programs and emerging topics. Coordinate and support other federal agency efforts in the counterdrug enterprise by sharing information and best practices. Provide regular, ongoing feedback on processes, guidelines/ standards and best practices to team members and senior leadership as needed.
