• Implemented and coordinated a preventative maintenance program for all Baggage Handling (BHS) systems within the terminal • Reduced downtime from 60% to 10% in one year on all BHS equipment not replaced with new equipment. • Extensively involved in the installation and involved in testing of 4 new BHS system installed in the terminal. • Worked with manager and corporate on developing budget for upcoming contract negotiations for BHS. • Primary supervisor and trainer over BHS. Had to train 30 technicians across all shifts on how to work on conveyors. • Worked directly with safety coordinator to ensure that all company and OSHA policies and procedures were implemented and utilized to include annual and monthly safety documentation. Primary responsibilities consisted of scheduling of employees day to day operations, employee maintenance general duties associated with day to day operations of the facilities included plumbing, HVAC, structural and electrical, utilization of ATAMS (Computerized maintenance system) and various other supervisory duties of a facilities maintenance company within an airport terminal. Accountable to the team members for removing obstacles, solving problems, setting direction and empowering a team of 8 to 20 people to achieve performance improvement results and set benchmarks for continued improvement. Also acted as a technical resource, to help achieve company goals in the areas of safety, cost, quality and service to customers. Also worked as a technician with the BHS which included: PLCs, controls, scanning equipment and conveyance system.
