Daily Duties at Waddle Works Llc:

Founder and President. Responsibilities can be divided into three parts: (1) Client Acquisition and Project Bidding, (2) Contractor and Project Management, and (3) Customer Service. Client acquisition required significant market research to determine which niche WaddleWorks best fit into in a competitive technology marketplace. Potential client interviews, interviews with peer companies, informal networking, and similar contact was utilized to create a strategy for developing a go-to-market strategy for WaddleWorks to court potential clients. Client acquisition role required using personal networking in order to create a base of web design clients that would utilize WaddleWorks resources to execute their projects. Client acquisition required significant expenditure of time in personal networking functions through Georgia Indo-American Chamber of Commerce and the Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce. Developed experience presenting WaddleWorks selling value proposition to web clients, and getting clients to engage in test projects to determine viability of working relationship. Resulted in multiple multi-year clients that have created thousands in revenue for WaddleWorks. Helped provide clients with input into how to construct technology bids for creative services. This meant helping clients understand technology requirements, costs, and ways to pitch a bid that would maximize the chance it would be accepted given the client's own customer's needs. Worked directly with customers to document and understand business requirements. Participated in application design sessions with designers, end clients, and developers to determine feasibility of project, costs, and business goals. Was responsible for selecting and inspecting potential technology contractors in the US and in India, Pakistan, and the UK. This required ascertaining each contractor's technological capabilities, communication skills, working culture, and cost to determine the best fit for each project. Experience interviewing, visiting, and negotiating with potential contractors was gained during this process. Project Management skills were gained managing multidisciplinary teams of 3-5 people for multiple projects that ranged from a few weeks to several years. Project Management required me to focus on managing daily, weekly, and monthly goals to ensure web development ("coding") was performed on schedule. Generally, my web design clients would provide intial information that would be required for coding. I would then ensure that coding was divided into appropriate and achieveable goals. This would require a process of design, then development, and then presentation to the client for appraisal of the results. Sometimes projects would be need to be managed to the day to ensure certain web projects could be completed in time for a trade show or convention. Precision in achieving goals became critical because failure to achieve results before a convention could result in reputation damage and impairment of the client's ability to present itself to potential vendors. My project management skills also ensured the client's ability to begin utilizing their website as a source of revenue as soon as possible. Customer service experience was gained following the release management phase of multiple projects. Steps were taken to ensure that client's websites, often their primary vehicle for advertising and revenue generation, were kept up-to-date and bug free. Experience was gained recommending additional phases to website projects, and otherwise looking out for further revenue producing opportunities for WaddleWorks that came directly out of making recommendations to the client.

What they like about Waddle Works Llc:

Working in an organization that is technologically advanced, creative, and innovative is critical in your assessment of hiring companies. Less important to you are stability of the organization, the length of time an organization has been in business, and the business' plans for the future. You prefer a fast-moving company that will take risks to achieve its goals and objectives. The length of time the company has been in business is irrelevant. Maintaining status quo is unnecessary. You thrive on change, uncertainty and the upside of potential business risks, especially those associated with innovation. Stability for the long haul is not nearly as important as is working in an atmosphere that is charged with a sense of urgency and constant change.
