Daily Duties at Ameriprise Financial Services:

The main responsibility as an entry-level financial advisor with Ameriprise was to study and pass all securities licenses. This included the Series 7, Series 66 and Life & Health Insurance (since lapsed). On a daily basis I would review all materials and work with the office administrator on sample tests to ensure a passing grade. All exams were passed on the first round of testing. On a weekly basis, I attended meetings at the main financial advising office for Ameriprise Financial Services to get a deeper understanding of the financial planning business. Each week was dedicated to a different topic, understanding your market and audience, the importance of life insurance, alternative investments, etc.
