Hired into the position of Thomas Regional Directory Telemarketing Supervisor to provide stability and grow the Telemarketing Department. This was to be accomplished by contributions from my own appointments and sales, along with increasing staff sales through intensive training, hiring and revised tracking techniques, with the end result of providing a steady stream of revenue for the company from appointments sold by the sales force. Expectations for this role included overseeing the achievement of performance targets and budgeted goals by working with and managing a team of 7 - 8 Appointment Setting Representatives while monitoring and ensuring employee performance met newly established KPI’s, metrics and benchmarks. In addition, ensuring that staffing met business requirements, and that a training system on cold-calling best practices for new hires was developed and managed while writing and optimizing call scripts. Was responsible for growing appointment volume by personal cold calling efforts while coaching the team on a daily/weekly/monthly basis with ongoing product/sales training, and leading the team by examples and presentations while ensuring appointment scheduling processes were being adhered to. With this role, budgeting accountability was an average of $279,000 per year. Reports included 8 to 10 Appointment Setting Representatives. Goals included exceeding 7000 appointments, converting 5% of those appointments into sales and generating over $1,400,000 in new business revenue from the sold appointments.
