Promoted into the position of Thomas Regional Directory Telemarketing Manager to expand the growth of the Telemarketing Department, create and train multiple teams to specialize in varied product offerings, establish a network of external telemarketing vendors and to automate CRM systems for prospecting and tracking to accommodate this growth. Expectations for this new role included defining and coordinating sales training programs that enabled staff to achieve their potential and support a variety of company objectives for new Web offers, creating, interpreting and analyzing ACD call volume while developing new electronic productivity reports to continuously assess effectiveness of ongoing projects and to provide forecasting. Additional responsibilities included working with direct reports to maintain excellent productivity levels by monitoring and ensuring staff performance met established metrics and benchmarks. Also responsible for creating and modifying a variety of scripts using consultative selling techniques, creating commission plan and reward / incentive programs to enhance team motivation while achieving expected results. With this new role, budgeting accountability increased from an average of $279,000 per year to $578,000 per year. Reports increased from a team of 8 - 10 Appointment Setting Representatives to 1 sales coach / manager, 1 sales administrator, 12 - 14 telemarketers and 4 vendors for telemarketing. Goals included exceeding 7500 appointments, converting 5.5% of those appointments into sales and generating over $2,000,000 in new business revenue from the sold appointments.
