Engineering Leadership: • Lead engineer of a five-person architecture, software, and tool support team in product line software development for five external programs. Team implemented improved code generation and build processes that reduced build effort 30%, provided C++ and Java data initialization, and added Java capabilities for hash code, equals, and JavaDoc comments in generated code while meeting stakeholder schedules. • Identified over a dozen automated QC and QA process improvements to reduce post-release defects by 90%. Project Management: • evelop and manage Integrated Master Schedule inputs to align model product deliveries with stakeholder program schedules. • Prioritize tasks and match skills and aptitudes to required effort for improved team performance. Rapidly adapt to changing external circumstances. Architecture: • Manage PL Architecture data models that define component and element interfaces across multiple programs. Coordinate data model updates in accordance with CCB-approved decisions. • Validated and delivered PL data model derived artifacts, including generated code, interface definition language (IDL), and IDDs for three successful deliveries. • Led the development of an automated IDD generation capability from a Rhapsody common data model. • Identified and corrected over 100 data model errors. (16 Feb 2012 – 1 May 2013) Support Architect for PL Architecture. • Supported product line systems engineering employing Model-Driven Architecture (MDA) auto-generating code in C++, IDL, and Java. (3 Jan 2012- 15 Feb 2012) Tester in embedded training. Test & Evaluation Process Improvement: Created an automated daily test report in Excel that cut test report time by one hour per report.
