Daily Duties at Oracle America, Inc.:
I work as a Deal Manager in the Software Technology group, my duties are to draft and negotiate licensing agreements for Oracle’s technology products. Oracle is an industry leader in Technology programs, so the volume of deals is anywhere from 20-40 per quarter ranging revenues of $1M to $30M approximately. I work with the business team on language and pricing terms, the tax group on tax related issues, the revenue recognition group on FCC issues and rev rec issues. I draft the legal and business terms and then negotiate with major strategic customers. I supported approximately 4 sales teams and worked with 40 sales representatives. This required a lot of multi-tasking, working on multiple deals at the same time and negotiating with multiple customer at once.
