Daily Duties at Nooksack Tribe Health Department:
➢ Works to achieve and maintain in good standing (JCAHO) Accreditation for Ambulatory Health Care by adopting best practices for nationally recognized standards of care. ➢ Conducts program analysis and development through the collection of organizational data. ➢ Creates operational policy and procedures for a tribal health system ➢ Monitor health clinic for Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) compliance. ➢ Credential health care providers and monitor ongoing CEC’s and other training. ➢ Collect and monitor Government Performance and Reporting Act data to benchmark and evaluate health care results. ➢ Works closely with Tribal IT department and the Indian Health Service (IHS) to establish an Electronic Health Record system at the health department.
