Daily Duties at The Boeing Company C 17 Program:

Founder of Process-Based Management (PBM (Deployed June 1993) Certified Lead Assessor ISO9001/AS9100 Quality Management System Boeing Associate Technical Fellow – Process Improvement Technologies – CY2000 Lead for the Following Program-Level Initiatives: Program Management and Best Practices (PMBP) Executability Reviews (ER) Independent Reviews (IR) Export Self-Assessments Tool Design Group Leader Project Lead for the following projects: • Coach PBM to all Production Operations: Assembly, Tooling, Planning, ME, IE & Bus Ops. • Train/Mentor teams in Employee Involvement team-building modules. • Rolled out ISO9001/AS9100 QMS requirement throughout Production Operations. • Institutionalized Malcolm Baldrige criteria throughout Production Operations. • Created and implemented innovative cross-functional and horizontally integrated flowcharts showing how Critical Safety Item (CSI) parts are managed across organization and field. • Led team to define flow of data, parts and docs of obsolete parts to production and field support. • Updated the Program Execution Plan (PEP) through an innovative approach that utilizes numerous hyperlinks and a portal repository for a viewer to select objects and to use tag searches to view PEP. • Developed and rolled out new Process Owner’s Manual (POM) (or PBM manual) addressing customer feedback requests and new business needs. Created all new figures/graphics. • Developed new Integrated Master Plan/Integrated Master Schedule (IMP/IMS) approach and model for entire Division to integrate, track and report key program events. • Defined and documented company’s Creative Edge Employee Suggestion Program which awards them with 1% to 2% of the first year’s savings. • Advised MD-11 Engineering in Quality matters for Airframe, Quality, Configuration Management, Interiors, and Tech Support; Advised MD-11 Quality Council in process improvement policies. • Co-developed Total Quality Management System (TQMS) principles and tools. TQMS Assessor. • Defined/Documented Leadership Development Program (LDP) process and created Skills Matrix Tool. • Teach/Mentor new productivity technologies (e.g., Lean, SixSigma, SPC) of statistical thinking. • Developed customer satisfaction strategies. Rolled out cultural change prototypes. • Coached Significant Business Issue (SBI) Divisional Facilitators in first-time quality and customer satisfaction principles as part of 5-Phase Process Improvement roll-out.
