I worked during the week for the school and the lake. This was a busy convenient store. It also sold hardware, fishing equipment, knives, guns, and ammunition. I worked this job on Saturdays and Sundays 5-12pm or later. I was the sole employee at night. I was responsible for all transactions. I had to issue hunting, fishing licenses, and take the needed information for a 3 day wait on hand gun purchases. I was responsible for restocking the fridge with many sodas all the time running the cash register. I was responsible for running the Kentucky Lottery Machine. I was responsible for handling store credit and denying those who had not paid their monthly accruement. I was in charge of keeping the gasoline and diesel fuels pumping and making sure the correct payment was made. I was solely responsible for cleaning the entire store toward the end of my shift while running the register. After I had secured the doors after closure, I had to make sure all health hazards on the floor, in the bathroom, in the dining room, and kitchen were properly cleaned. I then had to account and ledger massive amounts of money collected via cash. checks, credit/debit cards, ebt, transactions. I was responsible for securing the money and transactions in the safe and secure all locks and arming alarm system. I often did not get home until early morning.
