Telemarketing Director in charge of internal and external telemarketing operations. Promoted into the position of ThomasNet Telemarketing Director to further expand the growth of the Telemarketing Department for purposes of supporting the increased size of the sales force which was resulted from the merging of Thomas Publishing Company, LLC’s 2 Directory Company entities, Thomas Register of American Manufacturers and the Thomas Regional Directory Co. Expectations for this new role included enhancing the department’s Infrastructure to accommodate increased staff in NY while opening a second location in Horsham PA, and transitioning the staff from predominantly part-time to Full Time Employees while cross-training staff on all TPCO offerings from both companies, establishing a network of remote telemarketers. Additional responsibilities included supporting the introduction of the new company website ThomasNet.com, conducting Telemarketing Training Presentations at National Sales Meetings, implementing new call monitoring technology and a new CRM system (SalesForce.com) and launching, developing and coordinating selling cycles and methodology for 3 new specialized Telesales efforts offering Custom Quotes, Thomas B2B Pay-per-Click, and Catalog Navigator. With this new role, budgeting accountability increased from an average of $578,000 per year to $1,270,000 per year. Reports increased from 1 manager, 1 sales administrator, 12 Part Time telemarketers and 4 vendors for telemarketing to 1 manager, 1 floor supervisor, 1 sales administrator, 18 PT telemarketers, 13 FT Telemarketers, 4 vendors, & 5 remote (work from home) telemarketers for Telemarketing in addition to 4 FT Telesales representatives. Goals included exceeding 8000 appointments, converting 7% of those appointments into sales and generating over $3,000,000 in new business revenue from the sold appointments, while creating new streams of revenue (goal was $400,000) by testing the Telesales of new offers.
