Daily Duties at Kamp Kohut:

I was responsible for all food related activities including 3 meals a day for approximately 320 people. I managed and motivated all kitchen staff, did all food purchasing online, trained all staff in sanitary procedures, and any other duty that came my way.

What they like about Kamp Kohut:

Working in an organization that is technologically advanced, creative, and innovative is critical in your assessment of hiring companies. Less important to you are stability of the organization, the length of time an organization has been in business, and the business' plans for the future. You prefer a fast-moving company that will take risks to achieve its goals and objectives. The length of time the company has been in business is irrelevant. Maintaining status quo is unnecessary. You thrive on change, uncertainty and the upside of potential business risks, especially those associated with innovation. Stability for the long haul is not nearly as important as is working in an atmosphere that is charged with a sense of urgency and constant change.

Climbers who worked at Kamp Kohut had these interests:

Books
The Magic of Thinking Big In this classic by David K. Schwartz, PHD, I was led to explore the possibilities of possible changes in my life if I reached for more.
How to win Friends and Influence People This book is all about improving our relationships with others by understanding how to correctly communicate and interpret both what we say/hear and how we say/hear it.
Nora Lofts Novels I love to read and when I'm not sculpting in my free time I can usually be found with one of her books.
Magazines
Journal of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics I read this mainly to research food related topics. It deals mainly with the science of food, nutrition, and dietetics.
Family Circle Pleasure reading, it includes ways on how to declutter your house, new recipes to try, how to save money on household related items and has 'true stories' of real people doing unusual or admirable activities.
Websites
All Recipes

http://www.allrecipes.com

I use this web site not only for ideas on what to do with a specific food; like a harvest of too much parsley from your garden, but to do large recipe conversions.
Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics

http://www.eatright.org

I am a member of the Academy and I use it for nutrition updates, government laws that effect nutrition statutes, health alerts and questions, and I also get great ideas on the best way to integrate new foods to family and friends.
