Daily Duties at Naveodtechdiv:
Documentation of Ordnance, new tactics and procedures for all joint service EOD forces, development of latest technology for counter IED response, development of EOD training plan, deployment of critical combined explosive exploitation capabilities that are deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan. Managed all facets of photo lab operations. Documented 10,580 pieces of foreign ordnance. Developed a comprehensive Standard Operations Procedures (SOP) for documenting foreign ordnance that is still in use today. Developed Standard Operations Procedures (SOP) for the lab itself for utilizing still and video imagery to capture all operations at NAVEODTECHDIV. Supervised 4 military personnel. Transitioned the photolab from a wet process to a digital process at no cost to the government utilizing the P2 program to lessen the impact on the environment. This transition saved the government 15 million annually in disposal costs and operations costs. Deployed as a team member and team leader 6 different times to deliver state of the art technology and equipment to Iraq and Afghanistan EOD joint forces. Developed and and was the first president of the NAVEODTECHDIV CPO mess. During the four years of tenure at this command my team captured 520,000 images of capabilities and tactics, 4 times as many as any other lab in the United States Navy, as well as 2000 hours of motion picture imagery used by the command, and the National Command Authority.
