Daily Duties at Colorado Technical University:
• Member of the CTU Denver campus leadership team providing guidance and implementation on all operational issues relating to two campuses. • Plan coordinate, and implement network security measures to effectively protect data, software, and hardware. Maintain the integrity and continual operation of the IT network including the wireless networks. Develop, review, and certify all back-up and disaster recovery procedures and plans. Manage and support hardware and software for two campuses; Staff, Faculty and Student. Budget management for IT department, Asset Management. • Serve on planning and policy-making committees, implementation of all policies. Project Management and Administration • Microsoft Windows Environments, including MS-SQL and Microsoft Exchange 2003 - 2010, Active Directory and other applications. Experience with Microsoft windows configuration, installation, maintenance, support and troubleshooting of TCP/IP, networks supporting VOIP telephony, microcomputers and other systems; system development, complex project management, knowledge of CISCO network hardware, and client/server technology and Internet/intranets. • Forward thinking about developing and seeking newer technologies. Oversee the development, design, and implementation of new applications and changes to existing computer systems and software packages. • Responsible for the ordering, acquisition, inventorying, and disposition of hardware and software. Serve as primary contact with outside vendors in the generation of RFPs, bids, contracts, agreements, and other major vendor interactions, Systems Operations and Maintenance Responsible for security: building, student, staff, and faculty. • Daily management of campus operations for two campuses • Operational management; Actively engaged with student retention. Facilitate positive relationships with government, accrediting agencies, and local communities in order to promote the school, its programs and our students. Drive alignment and improvement in academic and operational effectiveness for the SBU through standardization in processes and academic programs. • Experienced in operations restructuring to address business growth, reduce costs, and improve service. • Interview all potential employees, schedules staff, and evaluates performance. Able to establish a team-spirited environment through positive and proactive leadership style. • Successful in creating and implementing strategic plans, setting and administering budgets, and developing improved processes to meet short and long term goal objectives. • Oversees facility operations to ensure facility requirements are met within established budgets, design plans for facility improvements to meet production goals and to provide superior customer service.
