Contract Project Manager - Root Cause Analysis Mentor. Assigned to mentor nine cause evaluators, lead two root cause teams, and perform seven apparent cause evaluations with quality (judged by CARB) and ahead of scheduled completion. Mentored six individuals in Engineering, Maintenance, OSHA safety, Operations, and Human performance. Daily status meetings measured status of products. Previous successful root cause analysis leadership with extensive knowledge of Boiling Water Reactor systems and organizations. Proven data analysis, data verification, and problem-solving abilities. Experience with statistical reporting and analysis. Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment. Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills to motivate a large employee community (note: this includes field site locations across the company. Led diverse teams made up of multi-functional professionals to realize agreed upon goals and objectives. 15+ years direct experience in executing and managing Continuous Improvement, Lean, Value Stream Mapping, Root Cause Analysis, ISO 9001, Kaizen and Six Sigma programs. Quality and Six Sigma Leadership experience in nuclear and related industry encompassing activities associated with design, procurement, and construction of critical products, projects or services. Demonstrated experience with engaging cross functional organization to drive continuous improvement activities. 16 violations related to procedure compliance, not making safety significant or risk-significant decisions using a systematic process, problem identification and resolution, and lack of accurate and up-to-date procedures for safety-related systems led to the NRC increased oversight deciding whether continued operation of the facility was acceptable (95003 effort).
