Daily Duties at Us Army:

Chief of Operations (Four Months): - Responsible for the planning, coordination, execution, command and control, and tactical employment of 500 soldiers with mission to deploy on a world-wide contingency within 54 hours of notification. - Responsible for supervising two assistant operations officers and advising the Squadron commander on all matters relating to training, deployment and short and long range planning from 2-12 months in future. - Supervised staff section comprised of over 20 officers, non-commissioned and enlisted members. - Served as supervisor or primary lead on projects (operations, training events exercises) for the Squadron. - Responsible for conducting risk assessment and management for all Squadron training events and exercises - Responsible for forecasting and requesting training land and ammunition (over $500,000 in ammunition) for training events and exercises - Responsible for coordinating with brigade level leadership to synchronize squadron level events and training from 6 weeks to 12 months in advance. - Responsible Squadron training and exercise planning and synchronization with five subordinate troops (organizations of approximately 100 soldiers each). Approved and supported all training for those subordinate organizations. Assistant Operations Officer: - Assisted the planning, coordination, execution, command and control, and tactical employment of 500 soldiers with mission to deploy on a world-wide contingency within 54 hours of notification. - -Developed short and long-range training plans to support individual and collective training for full spectrum operations. - Coordinated the planning and resources of subordinate Troop level training. Advised the chief operations officer on operational readiness, combat operation, training plans and deployments. - Serve as project lead and manager of training events and exercises. - Produced, distributed and briefed products, plans, presentations and documents for future projects (operations, training events and exercises). Current Operations (Deployed): - Responsible for all aspects of coordinating, executing and tracking operations while deployed to Afghanistan for over 500 soldiers. - Synchronized Squadron operations to fight and win in a battlespace of over 2,000 square kilometers, while communicating to the higher level at Brigade operations. - Supervised all aspects of training management to include: scheduling, taskings, professional development schools, and resources. Assisted the chief of operations in establishing a climate that develops soldiers and leaders personally and professionally. - Responsible for supervising 12 enlisted soldiers. - Chief of partnered tactical operations center at Forward operating base covering area over 2,000 square kilometers of extremely austere and harsh terrain in elevations from 4,000-11,000 feet on the Pakistan border with over 40 US and Afghan personnel. - Responsible for coordinating combat aviation, aviation transport, emergency reserve, vehicle recovery, unmanned drone coverage and artillery and mortar support for combat patrols and operations of elements from 20 – 400 partnered US and Afghan forces from tactical operations center. - Responsible for receiving, processing, packaging and reporting real-time intelligence and information collected by elements on patrol to intelligence analysts and higher level command. - Responsible for training and mentoring Afghan Tactical operations center personnel that included over 20 Afghan Soldiers. - Responsible for creating and reviewing all patrol plans and concept products (nearly 2,000 patrols and operations) prior to execution. - Responsible for synchronizing enabling assets, air transportation (transport helicopters), combat aviation (attack helicopters), close air support (fighter jets), aerial overwatch (UAV drone support), communication relay air support (737 communication relay for long distance operations), mortar & artillery plan preparation for some patrols and all multi-day operations.
