Daily Duties at Fltcombatcamlant, Nob:

Manage the day to day operations of a command consisting of 110 personnel. Managed all deployments ranging from local operations to 6 month deployments on board USN vessels and deployments to Bosnia and Iraq/ Afghanistan. Logistically handled all aspects of deployments to include troop movement; pay; equipment procurement of latest technology on the market; representative to CINCLANTFLT for command involvement globally; personnel manager for military and government civilians; Managed 7 different divisions/ functional areas to include the armory , admin, supply, it, still missions, video missions and editorial. Developed long range deployment plans for the command mission while coordinating Fleet and CINCLANT support globally; coordinated with billet managers on specific actions needed on personnel for command structure; Drafted comprehensive directives and processes for readiness of command members to deploy at a moment notice globally in a combative environment; Worked extensively on POM budget for FY-08 totalling 3.2M researching new technology, weighing travel costs that were not going to be funded yet still relevant,day to day costs of managing a command. Managed a 4M Table of allowance of the commands current equipment which helped to formulate standardization of photographic operations and documentation. Personally led multiple high profile missions in support of operations in Iraq, Venezuela, Columbia and Puerto Rico (Vieques Island). When I first checked in I was told that I had been personnal asked to come there by the Command Master Chief to "clean house" and realign the commands goals and mission. They had been led down the wrong path and needed adjusting. Myself and four other personnel broke the command down by functional area and started bring the command mission statement back to bear on the daily work being done. I took control of the operations side of the house and supply and the other team members had their functional areas.
