Daily Duties at Domus Design Build Inc.:
Partner, Design Drafter, Builder, General Contractor, Responsible for design, building and quality control/management of design/build residential projects. Report and review change orders and additional services with Senior Partner. Assist with preparation of drawings, scheduling and budgeting. Assist with bidding and selection of sub contractors. Plan, draw and construct concrete foundations, wood framing, assist with electrical and plumbing, install wall board, painting, finish carpentry, coordination and installation of fixtures and equipment, roofing and siding. • Manages subcontractors by monitoring and controlling performance. • Plan construction projects by studying drawings and sketches; ordering and scheduling materials and equipment • Monitors construction projects by confirming instructions for multiple trades including carpentry, plumbing, electrical, concrete, painting, and related trades • Prevents fines and interruptions by complying with, and enforcing, codes. • Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following and enforcing standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations. • Use AutoCAD to design and draw plans for client review • Create design alternatives to solve existing condition issues • Work with hand and power tools associated with construction
