Daily Duties at Spec West:

At Spec-West I managed the warehouse and employees for 1 year before I was promoted to the purchasing Dept. The company is a leader in Concrete and Material systems supplying both product and knowledge to end users and contractors. Managed all Shipping, Receiving and order pulling activities. I managed all deliveries and picks ups with 3 company trucks. Each truck had multiple deliveries in the AM & PM and all deliveries were time sensitive to ensure contractors had their material when they were needed. I oversaw the physical Inventory for 2 years and started the cycle count program. Through the cycle count program we were able to have successful control of inventory, identify material weaknesses and prevent theft. As a purchasing agent I placed all purchase orders for my product lines and kept tight controls over supplier confirmations and deliveries in an environment where all orders were time sensitive and in many cases bonds were in place due to the nature of the construction business.
