Daily Duties at Branch Banking & Trust Co. (Bb&T):
I was hired to or slated to, due to merger, and extensive retail banking and operations experience to manage the daily operations for a retail bank. I would perform credit analysis, oversee and manage branch sales processes, analyzing small business financial statements to determine creditworthiness. If a client did not meet the those guidelines, I would counsel them on the necessary steps they will to take to be approved, so client retention was key. Furthermore, I would develop strategic marketing campaigns targeting specific industries, e.g. mortgage title companies, law and CPA firms. The branch was slated to close in 2003 with minimal asset $7MM budget, however, due to relationship building and knowledge of all products and services, by the end of tenure, the branch's asset rose to $21MM. The branches success was not done alone, was able to get the staff to buy into and expand their knowledge and be effective bankers, which also converted into client retention and expansion of client base.
