Daily Duties at Sandy Spring Bank:

I was hired to manage the daily activities of a $150MM in assets financial center; the responsibilities were managing the offices revenue and expenses through making profitable loans decisions that consistently exceeded corporate's expectations, cross-selling other bank products, location had one the highest cross-sell ratios in the entire bank: corporate's expectation were 3.0 on average, the branch I managed was over 4.0 and has highest 6.0: non-interested bearing accounts, trust referrals, mortgage referrals and investments. I am an effective communicator (orally and written) which was key to building strong relationships with business clients which led to branch success or exceeding goals ( work smarter not harder). The branch location's deposit base was $120MM, but at the end of tenure, it was at $150MM, $30MM growth in a 3 year period which leads to expansion of bank's lending limits, which led to increase revenue. In addition, led to more involvement and reinvestment (offering scholarships, lowering rates, etc.) in the communities we did business in. Moreover, I would train branch staff to do the same through effective leadership and coaching, establishing of goals and follow through.

What they like about Sandy Spring Bank:

A hiring company that offers alternative approaches to pay, performance bonuses, and/or equity in the firm is very attractive to you. You're generally less interested in working for an organization offering only traditional, salary-based compensation, one with limited opportunity to acquire equity in the firm, or one that does not actively promote skill development. In addition, you are more likely to choose a company that offers a variety of internal career options, with defined career paths. You view the learning of new skills and development of your expertise as key to your career advancement. These aspects of an organization may become even more important to you as you progress in your field, and are especially critical if you change career or occupation.
