Daily Duties at Kindred Healthcare, Inc:
Hired for patient assessments and management of pulmonary diseases but took on the responsibility of all training, on boarding, and development of new hire Respiratory Therapists (7 therapists trained for different facilities). Became the Pulmonary Rehabilitation Manager to lead the interdisciplinary team, tracking and documenting outcomes of the pulmonary rehabilitation patient, training staff to their each individual responsibility to the patient, conduct weekly rounds with the Pulmonologist and rehabilitation therapy representative. Marketing champion with the admission coordinators and clinical liasion for pulmonary rehabilitation to area hospitals and physicians. Patient and family education, staff development and competencies in respiratory therapies. Started the first program in Lincolnton, NC, have since been instrumental in starting 2 more programs in Elizabeth City, NC and Monroe, NC.
