Daily Duties at E Scan Data Systems, Inc:
• Subject matter expert for Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) Medicaid Eligibility configurations between hospitals and government health agencies, ensuring data integrity and compliance with HIPAA 4010 & 5010 requirements • Collaborated with hospitals, IT, and internal staff to initiate and maintain remote access to patient accounting systems, including EPIC, Cerner, Siemens Invision, McKesson, Soarian, CPSI, Meditech; creating processes to ensure validity and security of credentials • Implemented database constraints and proactive monitoring procedures to enhance security of Patient Health Information (PHI) • Using SQL Server 2008, developed optimized queries and stored procedures to automate data validation processes • Managed a team that maintained and created Data Transformation Services (DTS) packages to import customer data from a variety of patient accounting systems • Coordinated project to commence HIPPA 5010 rollover; collaborated with state agencies, hospital business offices, and a staff of programmers, maintaining credentials and standards to satisfy the specific legal and technical requirements of each state trading partner agreement for Medicaid 270/271 Eligibility transactions; supervised internal rollout activities
