Daily Duties at Ibm Global Services:

• Managed multiple projects within the scope of IBM’s $892 million contract with the State of Texas; dedicated service delivery manager for Health and Human Services Commission, which manages applications supporting Medicaid, Office of Eligibility Services, and the Office of Family Services • Provided 24 x 7 coverage for multiple agencies including HHSC, DADS, DARS, DSHS, TDI and THECB • Directed the end-to-end effort to migrate 2-1-1 Help in Texas, a highly critical disaster recovery application, into a consolidated datacenter with new hardware and software • Managed personnel in a matrixed organization across multiple towers and platforms including Novell, Intel, UNIX, Oracle DBAs, backup and recovery, network, and operations • Aggressively implemented solutions to alleviate backup, storage, and memory constraints in a legacy environment, ensuring that production was able to continue without interruption • Managed incidents and changes on applications including 2-1-1, ASOIG, Medicaid Premiums Payable, MSIS, HCATS, MCATS, HEART, 411, Twogether and Legislative Tracking System • Migrated the Automated System for the Office of the Inspector General (ASOIG) to dedicated and more reliable infrastructure to improve performance and decrease outage time • Collaborated with multiple delivery towers to procure, distribute, configure, and maintain hardware for 336 remote sites throughout Texas • Deployed new hardware to 22 critical sites throughout Texas, accommodating higher client caseloads in major metropolitan areas
