Daily Duties at Midas International Corp.:

Promoted to turnaround troubled 3rd largest market in the country, managed 85 locations and 28 independent franchisee store owners. Directed operations , marketing, training, and expansion. Met with uncooperative dealers to change their perceptions or terminate their franchise. Worked closely with Regional Manager and Division Vice President to coordinate plans that included SWOT analysis and developed strategies and tactics to achieve market strategies. Ensured that training and display of Point of Purchase material supported retail promotions on a time sensitive calendar. Trained staff to implement strategies in a practical manner in order to gain support from franchisees and store employees. These sessions were conducted months in advance and covered 6 month marketing and promotion calendar. Prepared annual budget to include projected retail sales by market. Responsible for DMA and management of local advertising agency, including media buys, advertising day-part mixes and supporting store merchandising on an annual basis. Identified market expansion opportunities for new store growth, worked closely with real estate to qualify markets, write approvals to corporate management. Analysis included projected market share by product, overall store volume and break-even projections. Responsible for both renewing franchise locations and terminating non-performing dealers. Personally conducted interviews to determine viability of franchise candidates. This included analyzing financial statements. Ensured franchisees that were underperforming were provided assistance through my due diligence and involved corporate personnel as needed. Responsible for correcting deficiencies found during corporate audits.
