Daily Duties at New York City Dept Of Education Region Ix Office:
Served as primary contact person for all policy, training and accountability issues relative to School Leadership Teams (SLT), including all activities comprised in day-to-day SLT operations and responsibilities. Established and maintained a Regional Leadership Team which provided support to assigned schools and oversight to their SLT operations and regional activities. Worked with SLT’s and PTA/PTO organizations within 107 schools and their individual team members to develop effective, flexible conflict resolution techniques and component skills and strategies. Provide assistance to groups and individuals in team consensus building skills, techniques and strategies key to the success of SLT operations. Collaborated with in-house Parent Coordinators, UFT, CSA and DC37 union officials. Planned, organized and hosted a Father’s Initiative Luncheon to bring fathers into the education process.
