Daily Duties at Kpmg:

• Co-led a team in charge of providing procurement, project management and financial advisory services to the Florida DOT in support to the execution of a large brownfield project delivered via Public Private Partnership. Responsible for designing procurement strategies, creating bid-evaluation framework, drafting RFI, RRQ and RFP) and for providing support to the client throughout the procurement process, from tendering to contract negotiation. PIERCARLO BRUNINO PAGE 3 • Led a team of six people responsible for the execution of an operational assessment for a division of the State of Texas. The objective was to create a set of performance indicators for key areas (IT, Operations, Finance, HR, Procurement), to measure client performance against these benchmarks and to provide suggestions and recommendations for improvement actions. The benchmark was created by analyzing (via site visits, interviews and workshops) ten similar organizations across the United States; the benchmark analysis was conducted by creating a normalized operational model to ensure consistency of the evaluation. Key successes include client Executive’s acceptance of two of the five key recommendations, including the restructuring of the contract management and operations function for the IT department resulting in saving for more than $300,000. • Conducted policy research and industry bench mark analysis to support the Virginia Department of Transportation in the execution of a greenfield transportation project. • Conducted market research and analysis of already executed transactions for Value Based and Public Partnership projects in the IT area. Analyzed projects included: development of a tax transaction system with payment structure based on transaction fees, outsourcing of entire IT functions including AO (application outsourcing) and IO (infrastructure outsourcing) based on a long-term concession, and a data center relocation based on a availability payment. Key successes include the presentation of the market research to the State of Michigan, which used the analysis for the structuring of a data center project delivered via alternative procurement method. • Supported Senior Management in marketing and business development activities by analyzing market opportunities, prioritizing client targets, responding to RFPs, and preparing and presenting marketing material. Key success includes the winning of two advisory contracts for a total of $10 million.
