Daily Duties at Elizabeth Arden:
Entire P&L responsibility, for multiple divisions and in multiple currencies. Participate in annual and long term business planning Prepare Annual budgets and monthly updated estimates/forecasts for PL, BS and cashflow Ensure timely closing of books on a monthly basis. Prepare periodic financial reports reporting actual performance to multiple client groups. (in conjunction with Shared services, see below) Perform variance analysis compared to budgets, forecasts and prior periods and investigate reasons/explanations/trends Ensure compliance with the Division and Group accounting policies and procedures Ensure timely completion of external/internal audit, tax filing requirements Work closely with shared service accounting group to ensure timely/accurate booking of all transactions/accruals, review schedules/preliminary reports and other function to ensure monthly closing of books. Work closely with all departments (including senior management) within each Division and provide financial information to help them make business decisions Manage a staff of 8 persons to help in the above roles and to develop/train/mentor them Participate in various department, division and corporate projects
