Daily Duties at State Of New Mexico, Hsd/Isd:

Interview clients to determine eligibility for food, financial, medical, and other programs in accordance with federal and state regulations. Compose narratives, document, and update case records to support eligibility decisions. Analyze information obtained during the eligibility process. Ensure accuracy of benefit authorizations by conducting periodic reviews and recertification in accordance with federal and state regulations. Identify/clarify questionable information gathered from interviews and all other sources to prevent fraudulent or erroneous disbursement of benefits. Account for distribution of state and federal funds within mandates federal tolerance levels. Testify on behalf of agency in hearings and administrative processes. Enter client data into computer systems timely and accurately.
