The process include reviewing and analyzing financial statements (balance sheet, income statements, and cash flow), evaluating competition and analyzing business practices, industry boundary spanning, general and task environment analysis, work force planning and organizational structure, define problems/opportunity and collect data, establish facts and structure valid conclusion and solutions.
