 Coordinated quality assurance department and production shops.  Addressed supplier and clientele issues as and whenever needed.  Facilitated welder qualification plans and procedures for products and process development.  Conducted quality assurance activities in compliance with approved policies and procedures.  Developed quality system for new products and product changes; including the development of inspection methods, inspection equipment, and inspection frequency.  Followed up suppliers and subcontractors.  Identified and evaluated suppliers, subcontractors and assigned them work after negotiating rates.  Executed product quality planning.  Selected material and assisted purchase department for vendor identification.  Decided before hand the tolerances on component design based on functionalities and assembly needs.  Designed new components and improvised existing designs for a sugarcane harvester system.  Planned prototype production and assisted shops and tool rooms.  Designed many machine components.  Supervised junior engineers, skilled and semi-skilled operators including skilled CAD operators and traditional draftsmen, and fitters.
