Daily Duties at Best Buy:
Responsible for 6 Managers, 12 supervisors and 200 employees. Responsible for all daily activities of operating the store. These include sales interaction, merchandising, inventory, operations, and services. Responsible for supervising weekly Manager and Supervisor meetings and their content. This included new corporate training as well as leadership development and weekly recognition. Was responsible for daily interactions between Managers and Supervisors, Supervisors and employees and the interaction of all with the customer. Was responsible for developing and maintaining community involvement and community development. We built a culture that through proper leadership and management will maximize profitability while assuring that the customer and employee experience is second to none. Assue that Best buy is established as a community partner, and grow within the community through community involvement. Manage the P&L statement and educate and empower the employees to embrace and maximize profitability through proper P&L management. Was responsible building a shrink culture that protected company profits as well as developed new methods to controlling shrink. Was responsible for planning and executing a weekly training meeting with all district GMs. This included new training for corporate directives and leadership development. Was responsible for attending quarterly meetings for regional training and recognition and bring this information back and implement the new directives with the team. Was responsible for all HR activities in the store which included final hiring decisions and all personnel investigations.
