Daily Duties at The Doctors Company :
• Project management skills • Thorough knowledge of health care regulatory policies, practices and systems. • Complete understanding of regulatory concepts. • Utilized both manual and system processes in the production, selection, pricing, control and servicing of assigned business • Thorough knowledge of health care regulatory policies, practices and systems. • Complete understanding of regulatory concepts. • Full knowledge of health care industry practices and standards. • Ability to draft and revise documents including policies, standards, analyses and reports. • Develop solutions that increase credibility with customers & Sales/Account Management and external customers • Review and processing of complex policy and billing transactions, perform policy or system documentation and records maintenance related to those tasks • Provide process instruction to Member Services or Underwriting Technicians utilizing NOVA tasks. • Summarized loss history and other information for selected accounts • Reviewed solo new physician or add-on applications, re-underwriting files or PAR accounts and recommend action to management • Mentors less experienced staff • Research and provide processing instructions for Patient Compensation Fund (PCF) transactions • Contacted members, policyholders, policy administrators, credentialing adminstrators, employees at all levels of the company, premium accounting, patient safety, agents, claims and legal professionals, PCF employees, and members of the general public. • Conducted policy reviews and monitored policy compliance • Managed brokers and client requests, queries, and complaints to maintain and improve client relations • Serviced existing accounts and policies • Performed physician legal searches and verified information with various state medical boards
