In charge of entire sales function for largest privately owned and locally operated courier company in the state that provides same day courier, trucking, and warehouse service; $5MM to $10MM annual revenue. Accountable for sourcing, developing, negotiating, and closing business and maintaining relationships with clients. Conducted cold calling, internet research, and referral contacting, as well as attended industry conventions to acquire new business within New England. Directed staff of 16, and reported to the owner. Managed all customer service functions, including resolving escalated complaints and billing questions. Handled staffing functions.
