Daily Duties at Northeast Georgia Medical Center:

Managed a 10 bed CCU and opened a 6 bed chest pain observation unit connected to the CCU. Had to do yearly budgets for salaries, supplies, equipment, and education cost to keep personal up to date in cardiology. Making schedules for over 60 employees and assuring payroll was completed on time. I was responsible for QA, OSHA, Infection Control, updating care plans, assuring all personal was well trained for their roles. Had a mixture of staff including Registered Nurses, started a program for critical care techs to assist the RN's, monitor techs for all telemetries throughout the hospital and as well as the unit and chest pain observation units and secretaries. Was asked to be involved in several research studies by the cardiologists. Performed three studies while a manager, and was # 1 enroller in North America for one study. Used money from studies to take staff out of the hospital for a weekend of team building. Also used money to give back to employees such as buying a sound round system for the unit, TV for their break room and many other needs of the unit. Was responsible to attend management meetings, QA meetings, and department head meetings. I also worked side by side with the staff, including night shift and weekends. Staff always felt they could call me at home and ask to come in and help them in different critical situations.

What they like about Northeast Georgia Medical Center:

You highly value a work environment built on a formal structure, rules, and regulations. You do not enjoy the unpredictability of shifting priorities and deadlines that upset your routine. You require and enjoy direction, input and accountability as part of your work environment. You have a strong need to participate in making key decisions and feel left out if your superiors or co-workers do not seek your input when making decisions. You thrive on providing good customer service to both internal or external customers, and doing so makes you feel good.
