Daily Duties at Mahindra Satyam (Formerly Sayam Computer Services):
As the Chief Technology Officer and mmember of the North America Executive Office reporting directly to the President of Satyam, I was primarily responsible to manage and lead from the front all the Technology Practices including the new Shared Services Practice, the Enterprise Solutions Practice and the SAP Center of Excellence with full P&L Management and Capability building duties. I was also responsible to the drive the Solutions Offerings Development Agenda and the North America Go-to-Market Strategy. I managed a global team of 500+ FTEs with 85% in India supporting our COEs and Developments centers and 15% customer facing On-shore Program Architects and Senior Consultants. In 2007, I’ve defined and managed the roadmap, the architecture and the industrialization plan for the 1st generation Satyam SaaS/IaaS Cloud-based Solutions (Public/Private/Hybrid) with the implementation of the 3 largest Global Elastic Datacenters in India and United States in collaboration with Amazon using AWS EC2/S3 technologies and Oracle Hyper Data Center, which enabled Satyam to record revenue growth of 15% percent in 2007 and 39% 2008. I was responsible to advise and work closely with the C-Level customers, Business Unit Heads and other Senior leaders internally and externally with C-Level executives in planning global outsourcing, Shared Services and Cloud programs and providing enterprise thought leadership in ensuring appropriate technology implementation.
