Daily Duties at North Carolina State University:

Responsible for supervising staff and for maintaining technical integrity and financial accountability in the performance of assigned tasks in accordance with project requirements. Coordinate technical and operational meetings and conferences, publication of documents and reports, prepare and deliver all reports and data items Identify project or activity risks and provide risk mitigation options Create and maintain project plans and milestones for virtual teams consisting of various members of the internal organization and other organizations Analyze and identifie issues, communicate issues and seek authorization, and drive corrective action plans Conceive, plan, and conduct research in problem areas of engineering and chemistry of considerable scope and complexity Maintain good understanding of regulatory environment and develop evaluation strategies, conduct research, and provide documentation as required for EPA, OSHA, EHS, and other regulatory agencies. Substantial independence and expertise in creative research design, implementation of research procedures, data analysis, and generation of reports for sponsoring, authorities, interpretation and dissemination of results. Duties integral with the University’s instructional and research activities and represent an extension of the regular academic and education experience provided by the University.
