Daily Duties at Avanade, Inc (An Accenture & Microsoft Company):

As the CTO for Avanade North America, first I’m responsible for driving, developing and communicating the company’s technology vision both internally and externally to customers, press, analysts, alliance partners and developer communities supporting all aspects of the company's technology development. I’m also responsible to drive all the Technology Innovation, Solution offerings and Products development primarily across key technology areas including Mobility, CRM/ERP, Cloud Services & Software Defined Data Centers, Global E-Commerce Platforms, Business Inteligence, Enterprise-ready Hadoop and Big Data solutions and platforms in synergy with Microsoft & Accenture through the Power of 3 Alliance (Po3) and other software partners such Sitecore, VMware, Amazon and SAP. I'm also responsible for a $450MM innovation budget for Avanade Software & Cloud Services portfolio, including the Avanade Online Cloud Services driving Up to $255MM sales pipeline just in FY13. I manage up to 560 FTEs and 23 Direct Executives (VPs, Sr. Directors, Solution Advisor and Program Architects) Externally from a P&L perspective, I also heads up the Advisory Services Consulting Group that focuses solely in providing strategic business/technology advisory, strategy and planning services to Avanade, Microsoft & Accenture top customers to help them achieve their most challenging business, technology and organizational goals while leveraging value from their current and future investment in Cloud Computing. Part of my day to day job is also to drive developer evangelization and customer momentum, presence and focus on the Microsoft Platform through the EBC Program and Tech Summits. One of my key focus areas is to accelerate Avanade customer focused innovation agenda – both driving innovation into customer solutions to realize results, as well as supporting Avanade’s Service Lines in their harvesting of innovation in Application Development, Enterprise Architecture, Mobility, Enterprise Collaboration, Business Intelligence & Big Data, Outsourcing & Cloud Services. I'm also responsible to proactively engage and advise Avanade/Accenture/Microsoft C-Level customers on Business driven Cloud, Big Data, Mobility and E-Commerce technology initiatives and regulatory compliance.
