Daily Duties at Northeast Georgia Medical Center:
Developing roles of RN's vs LPN's in pre op and post op areas. Assisted with job descriptions. Trained all new employees to area--a 6 week or longer program. Taught a class to 5 LPN's for cardiac arrhythmias due to post procedure arrhythmias. Worked and communicated well with all staff including holding area as well as catheterization personal. Other duties include cardiac assessment pre and post, starting IV's, drawing blood, completing a data base of past and present history including current medication, allergies, administering medications. Worked with post procedure patients including pulling sheaths, using the ACT machine, accuchecks for diabetes, assessing peripheral pulses and watching for hematomas at site and knowing what to do when it develops. Teaching pre and post procedure instructions.
