Daily Duties at Hazclean Environmental Consultants, Inc.:

Registered Professional Geologist in the states of Mississippi, Alabama, and South Carolina as an environmental geologist. Served as the as Senior Project Manager for the assessment and remediation of Hazardous Waste sites throughout the southeast which involved soil and groundwater contamination. Projects included Environmental Site Assessment (ESA) that interfaced with the United States Corps of Army Engineers (USACE) regarding wetlands delineations and property development, leaking under-ground storage tank (LUST), above-ground storage tank (AST) projects as well as the remediation and restoration of Brownfield sites and manufacturing facilities. Prepared cost proposals & payment requests ranging in cost between $30,000 and to over $1,000,000. Monitored and tracked project cost expenditures and labor hours. Performed technical writing of reports maps and figures for on-time submission to State and Federal agencies. Organized weekly, monthly and quarterly work plans and schedules. Trained and supervised technicians. Monitored working condition of field test equipment and quantities of necessary field expendables. Developed Corrective Action Plans (CAP). Developed permitting requests/applications. Helped to design, install, inspect, and maintain Multi-Phase Extraction remediation systems worth between $270,000 and $500,000. Collected air, soil, groundwater and stream samples. Performed aquifer and pilot testing. Performed on-call Emergency Response. Provided technical advice via phone when prospective clients would call. Worked as a team member when my fellow employees during times of need when their own responsibilities / suspense's became under pressure. Approximately 50% of my job required travel and overnight stay. Technical writing included the use of software such as Microsoft Office Word, Excel, DesignCad, Surfer, Paint Pro, and Google Earth.
