Daily Duties at Exelon Nuclear:

• Site Project Manager for change management during a corporate merger, which created Exelon Nuclear from Commonwealth Edison (ComED) and Philadelphia Electric Co. (PECO) companies. The goal of the change management position was to lesson the impact on the site workforce to large-scale procedure change by creating processes, communicating and teaching processes to the site workforce. o Championed the formal development of a process for common procedure development and review, versus select tribal knowledge and authoritarian corporate control. o Formalized existing ad-hoc processes, created and implemented new processes as necessary for common procedure development, review and approval, the outcome was to create a new formalized Exelon Nuclear standard from existing ComED and Philadelphia Electric Co. (PECo) processes. o Created and taught lesson plans of the newly formalized Exelon Nuclear procedure development, review and approval processes reducing impact to the site work force. o Created and implemented a web site for the site workforce to look up, upcoming procedure changes and enable site participation and provide advanced notice of impending change. • Implemented excel spreadsheet called “The 90 day look ahead list” for track procedure changes from cradle to grave. • Developed and implemented a site newsletter called changing “Changing Times” to communicate upcoming procedure revisions and training sessions focused on procedure changes to allow employees advanced notice of impending changes and impacts. o Created and implemented posters around the site to advertise regular training sessions on procedure change and using the same location and times. o Project succeeded in minimizing the impact to the site workforce. o Site processes over new 1,000 procedures within 6 months. o Procedure implementation project receives favorable reviews from INPO and the Nuclear Review Board.
