Daily Duties at Albert Acquah & Associates, Cp As:
•Design and maintain accounting systems for clients including establishing revenue and expenditure patterns and headings. Determines compliance with regulations and reasonableness of estimates. •Provide bookkeeping/accounting services for medium and small scale companies. Manage clients’ bookkeeping and accounting transactions by managing AR and AP, banking transactions, and prepares bank reconciliations, AP and AR ledgers reconciliations on monthly basis and generate reports to determine income and or loss for the month. Analyze accounting transactions and data to ensure accuracy and integrity in reporting. Prepare end of year financial statements. •Prepare budget for clients companies, monitor, and review budget, analyze variance, notify and advise clients on variance and resolve complex accounting, budgeting, and financial management issues. Track cost and prompt clients on inconsistencies in cost and design appropriate cost control mechanism for clients to ensure alignment with strategic program and organizational goal. •Gather time sheets bi-weekly, calculate and report hours to pay check. Pay taxes (bi-monthly, monthly, quarterly and annually). Prepare payroll for clients employees, deduct all the appropriate payroll taxes, process and ensure timely payments to the receiving agencies and institutions. Prepare sales taxes for clients and ensure payments are made. •Prepare individual and corporate tax returns and file returns on behalf of clients. Prepare and maintain fixed assets schedules and calculate allowable depreciations on respective assets to be used for the preparation of income statement and balance sheets.
